Short History of the Ministry and Calling

Experiencing Faith and Hope Ministries International (EFHMI) was founded by Ismaël and Emmania Dora, a Haitian couple called by God to serve among Haitians across the Caribbean. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2010, the Doras pursued both academic and spiritual preparation for ministry. Dr. Ismaël Dora earned advanced theological degrees, culminating in a Ph.D. in Hebrew and Old Testament from Clarks Summit University, where he served as an adjunct professor. He also ministered as a Sunday school teacher and pianist at Atlanta Bible Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia. Emmania, a trained dentist with a master’s degree in Public Health from Liberty University, shares his passion for holistic ministry.

In 2020, the couple was commissioned by ABWE/Live Global (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism) to reach Haitians in the Caribbean with the gospel of Christ through EFHMI. Together with their four children—Michelle, Ishaelle, Ismaël Jr., and Daniel—they seek to bring faith, hope, and transformation to communities in need.
